Very early on in the episode we're met with a familiar face. And no, we're not talking about Sam or Bucky - we're talking about Batroc the Leaper.

His appearance takes us back to the days of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. This lawless criminal is back and doing what he does best: trying to hijack and ruin things. To say that this is the thing he does best may be a little offensive, seeing as he is quickly dispatched along with his whole team when The Falcon single-handedly takes them down, but it was good to see him nonetheless.

His costume stuck to its familiar colours with that stylish purple and yellow jacket, and he lived up to his title as 'The Leaper' by nimbly leaping out into the open air in one of those wing suits that makes you look like a flying squirrel. A stylish mode of travel, it is not - but a pretty badass one? Maybe so.

We were introduced this episode also to the Flag-Smashers. Whereas in the comics it's more of a lone operation, the MCU has opted for a different direction: having the Flag-Smashers be an organisation of sorts, recruiting via manifestos online and (so far) operating in public wearing masks branded with their logo.

The episode didn't reveal too much about them but we know they're on the radar and that Torres has already got his nose poking into their business, which we can't expect to end well.

Another familiar villain we are awaiting the return of is Daniel Brühl's Zemo. We last saw him in the MCU in Captain America: Civil War, and he is set to make an explosive return at some point in the coming episodes. With no sign of him just yet, we will be keeping our eyes peeled next week.
