While Gene Simmons has appeared (and pedaled) just about everything over the years, Family Guy using KISS as a huge part of 2002's "Road to Europe" (in the subplot) was absolutely brilliant. After it's announced that Kiss-stock is coming to Quahog, Peter, a huge KISS fan, immediately gets tickets for him and Lois. As it turns out, their nudist neighbours are huge fans as well. However, at the show, it turns out that Lois doesn't know the lyrics to "Rock and Roll All Night" and blows them in front of the entire crowd. Humiliated, Peter takes Lois and leaves - only to later bump into the band (all voicing themselves), where Lois recognizes Gene from his pre-KISS days. Apparently, they were together in some form (shocking, we know, it's Gene Simmons after all), and he refers to her as "Loose Lois." Giving the band more than just a quick cameo is what makes this spot work. We see Peter as just another fan boy, and he gets to look golden (in the end) in front of the band he idolizes. All for being with Lois.
