Family Guy: 10 Best Characters Who Only Appeared In One Episode
4. Charles Yamamoto (Season 10, Episode 16)
It all began with hot dogs.
Charles Yamamoto was a character based on a real-life Japanese hot dog eating champion named Takeru Kobayashi. In Family Guy, 'Chubby Charlie' stood tall as the reigning eating champion until he met his match in one Chris Griffin.
The defeat came in the form of Chris eating just one more hot dog than the big man. Unfortunately, the former champ was enraged by the humiliation and became jealous of the boy who dethroned him. In a quest to gain his revenge by killing Chris, Yamamoto released Lois' long-lost brother, Patrick Pewterschmidt (who only made two appearances in the show), from an asylum to frame him for the murder.
Yamamoto would attack several random Chris-lookalikes until he finally encountered the real one and attempted to strangle him. Luckily, Stewie came to the rescue with a copy of Queen's News of the World album, which traumatized the Fat Guy Strangler to death.
Although Family Guy creators have a habit of bringing back the dead, at least for a final ha-ha, Yamamoto's one real role was in the episode "Killer Queen." The only other time fans heard of the deceased murderer was when Peter hallucinated a room full of dead people during "Coma Guy," although he mostly served as background fodder.
