Family Guy: 10 Worst Things Peter Griffin Has Done
7. Leaving Meg With Burgulars
Peter's father, Francis Griffin was an angry stubborn zealot. Throughout his childhood, Peter suffered greatly at Francis's cruel hands. So, when Peter became a father himself, one would expect that he would not treat his kids in the cruel way that Francis treated him. That assumption would be correct in the case of his sons, Chris and Stewie but not in the case of his daughter, Meg.
In the season four episode "Griffin Family History", burglars break into the Griffin home. When the Griffins notice the burglars, they escape into the panic room. In an emergency situation a good parent would prioritize the safety of their children. Peter does prioritize the safety of his sons but he abandons Meg, shutting the door of the panic room on her.
To make matters worse when Meg attempts to hide from the burglars, Peter draws them toward Meg and she is taken hostage. Francis failed Peter as a father but Peter's treatment of Meg makes Francis Griffin look like a Father of The Year candidate.
