Family Guy: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best (So Far)

7. Season 7

Family Guy
Fox

Not all running non-sensical jokes on Family Guy work, but if any gag deserves praise it's Peter dancing to Surfin' Bird. It's ridiculous, catchy, irrelevant to the plot, and it's a perfect example of Family Guy's unique humour.

Even though this is the moment most viewers remember from Season 7, this period is a perfect mixture of the show's best elements. The episode 420 does a fantastic commentary on the legalisation of marijuana and performs one of the series' best songs, A Bag of Weed.

Season 7 also boasts cameos galore (including the main cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation), great running gags like Stewie's pronunciation of 'cool whip', and some nutty storylines including the Griffins befriending OJ Simpson, Peter meeting Jesus, and Stewie taking steroids.

The episodes revolving around time-travelling to Nazi Germany and the retelling of Stephen King's most famous stories prove Family Guy is at its best when it discards conventional plotlines and just does its own thing.
