4. Where's My Money?
No list would be complete without a violent scene for which the show is so famous. In the episode Patriot Games, Brian and Stewie make a bet and when Brian loses, Stewie gives him 24 hours to come up with the money. Skip to 24 hours later and Brian is getting out of the shower - he puts his collar back on, wraps a towel around his waist and then opens the door to reveal Stewie waiting for him. Stewie is simpering and sweet as he asks for the money, but Brian cannot pay up, so Stewie does what any one-year-old child would do: he finishes his orange juice and then smashes the glass over Brians head. If thats not enough to teach the, now bleeding, Brian a lesson, Stewie starts to kick and punch the dog, shouting Wheres My Money? When he is finished, he tells Brian that he has until five oclock to come up with the money. Later in the episode, Stewie is almost fooled by a disguised Brian trying to escape. However, upon realisation that it is his dog, he begins to beat him up once more. A baby and a dog; two vulnerable creatures, engaging in violence these would be quite distressing scenes if they werent so extreme. Stewie uses props such as a towel rail, a gun and a flame thrower to fight the poor dog and when he is done, Brian simply sits up and says: Alright, lets go to the bank. These two complete opposites are what makes these scenes hilarious: theyre extremely violent yet completely relaxed at the same time.
