Fear The Walking Dead: 10 Mistakes The Show Can't Afford
5. Don't Give Us A Boring Family To Endure
Little snippets of information have been released by showrunner Dave Erickson suggesting that the show is a family drama set in the time of the apocalypse. Now, that's fine... As long as the family don't make me want them all to perish within the first five minutes of being introduced to them. I don't want to see a rebellious teen daughter, a wide-eyed kid playing with toys, destroying a city, painting a mental image of things to come. I don't want to see separated parents unite over the disaster and get back together after surviving the initial outbreak. I don't want to see the same one-dimensional characters carted out for another show. If this is a show based on a family, they've got to be an interesting one, otherwise I'm #TeamWalker all the way.
