3. Travis
The Season 3 premiere featured an intense opening episode, introducing a new militaristic presence with a keen eye for testing on prisoners. It had so much action throughout the escape sequences as well as Travis' powerful dialogue whilst being literally on death row. With a satisfying feeling of hope closing off the episode as we see Alicia and Travis jet off safely in a helicopter and with the assurance that Madison and Nick are also safe, Season 3's outlooks seemed golden.
The following episode however opens with the helicopter sustaining gunfire from below, causing it to begin to crash. Without a beat, Travis clutches his neck to reveal a stray bullet that seemed to have grazed him. With an anxious look on his face, he begins to unbuckle himself from the malfunctioning helicopter.
Alicia tries to keep Travis securely in his seat but then reveals a secondary gunshot wound, fatally in the stomach. Sharing the last look of fear towards each other, Travis throws himself out of the helicopter ending his life.
As the chilling intro plays a second after, the viewers are left astounded at the English teacher's sudden departure.
