The notion of a crossover has been mooted many times since the companion series was announced, with talk of Walking Dead characters appearing on Fear, or vice versa. Given the timeline of the spin-off is slightly beforehand, before catching-up and running concurrently, there is scope for this to work. One of the names oft-mentioned when this comes up is that of Dr Edwin Jenner, the Centre for Disease Control (CDC) scientist played by Noah Emmerich. He was last seen giving the big reveal to Rick that everyone is infected, and then went down with his ship (or rather laboratory). A leaked script of the pilot purported to show the CDC denying reports of the undead, so if indeed they do feature then Jenner would be an obvious candidate to return. Emmerich has previously admitted he would be interested in reprising the role, although his work on The Americans may make scheduling difficult. A more recent rumour suggests that instead we will see Jenners wife Candace feature on the show briefly, giving an update on events as part of a news broadcast (presumably pre-zombification). That would be a less exciting, but admittedly more plausible outcome.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
