The Flash: 10 Ways To Ensure The Series Will Be Awesome

2. Fun DC Comics Guest Stars

As mentioned earlier, The Flash is the character who's opening the DCTVU flood gates to future appearances by other DC Comics heroes and villains. Though some characters are being saved for the big screen, The Flash is the perfect opportunity to introduce audiences to lesser known characters that fans love but they might otherwise be unaware of. People like the Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Aqualad, Starfire, Raven, or Cyborg could all be potential candidates for guest star spots. Though not everyone in DC Comics' repertoire can be featured, but it allows the perfect opportunity to do some real Universe-expanding. And if any of those characters prove successful within the show, the chances of them getting their own series and further expanding that Universe is much greater. Though Arrow has helped pave the way for DC on TV, it could be The Flash to help make audiences familiar with superheroes in their costumes. Smallville was hugely successful yet many fans still felt upset that Clark never donned the tights and cape. Because the show runners of The Flash have strongly acknowledged that he will wear a costume and call himself "The Flash" means audiences have a greater opportunity to expand their knowledge of DC's cast of characters and get great enjoyment out of seeing them use their powers. Many of these characters have never seen the live action treatment so the possibilities are seemingly endless.
