Aside from Batman, The Flash has some of the most quirky and entertaining bad guys to go up against. From characters like Captain Cold to Gorilla Grodd to Zoom (The Reverse Flash), it's no secret that a lot of fun can be had in the show by utilising such a diverse cast of characters. Though the most important question will be, how will they handle them? On the surface many of these characters could potentially come across as corny or cheesy as opposed to menacing and mean. The Flash television show from the 1990's featured many of his important adversaries, although the tone of the show was vastly different. But now that we have made significant progress in both the visual effects department and in how we adapt comic book stories, the opportunities are seemingly endless for successfully bringing his villains to the screen. Audiences genuinely love villains. From Jack Nicholson's Joker all the way through the Heath Ledger's portrayal, all film and television villains are cast knowing that the audience must find them appealing and interesting to watch. Villains are a lot of fun, sometimes more-so than the hero. On the surface the Flash's villains seem fun and appealing enough, but much of the shows positive reception could come from casting choices and how these baddies are presented to us.
