It's a question that could be asked in almost any scenario, never mind a creepy, unsettling, arctic murder mystery, but why on earth was there a live pig wired up to a glass case at the end of the first episode? After taking her son to the research facility for some experimental treatment on his frostbite, Jules Sutter begins to wander the corridors of the facility to try and clear her head, until she stumbles upon a pod, similar to the one her son is in, encasing a squealing pig that's got wires all over its body - end scene. No explanation has even been hinted at as to why this is though, whether it's some sort of creepy experiment that's being conducted or something significantly weirder, but at this point you'd rule nothing out. The poor swine. Most worrying of all though, after the initial shock of what she'd seen, Jules didn't seem too concerned by the incident and just went back to looking after her son. Surely a normal person in that situation would at least ask a few questions?
