Friday Night Lights Cast: Where Are They Now?

6. Adrianne Palicki (Tyra Collette)

Friday Night Lights Jesse Plemons
NBC

As the wise beyond her years Tyra Collette, Adrianne Palicki takes a character who could descend into archetype and transcends the mold of the small town party girl, turning her role into a hustler and a survivor, progressing more than almost any other character throughout the show’s run.

From FNL, Palicki graduated straight to big screen blockbusters, with large roles in the remake of Red Dawn as well as G.I. Joe: Retaliation - neither film was what you’d call a success in the traditional sense, but they served well as a statement of intent.

The actress has had better luck on the small screen, with roles in Robot Chicken and Family Guy, followed by an unsuccessful pilot for a Wonder Woman TV series (which you’d imagine she’d be ideally suited for). From there, though, things have looked up. Palicki made many appearances in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (with a spin off for her character Barbara Morse unfortunately scrapped), and a lead role in sci fi comedy The Orville.

Palicki demonstrated one of the best comic touches during the FNL days, and has continued to utilise those skills since.
