Friday Night Lights Cast: Where Are They Now?

As the hapless Landry, Jesse Plemons provided comic relief for much of FNL’s run (we’ll brush over season two’s murder plot). The character has a dramatic arc, going from Matt Saracen’s sidekick to a vital cog in the East Dillon Lions’ machine.

Since then, Plemons has gone from strength to strength, particularly on the small screen, where he has enjoyed roles in some of the most acclaimed shows of our times. Strangely, the affable actor has developed a knack for sinister parts, like Breaking Bad’s ice cold Todd, and a grotesque performance in Black Mirror’s brilliant "USS Callister". He played a sweeter role in season two of Fargo, a hapless butcher who blunders his way into gang warfare.

Plemons has found similarly good company on the big screen, where he has worked on films like The Master, Vice, and The Irishman. A highly talented and subtle actor, Plemons has a knack for making a lot out of a small part. He will be starring in Charlie Kaufman’s upcoming Netflix movie I’m Thinking Of Ending Things.
