4. The One With The Princess Leia Fantasy (S3 E1)
Item two on the agenda of incest in Friends brings us first to Chandler, and then to Ross rather than Rachel’s potential boyfriend, and it all came out thanks to a little encouragement for more sharing and talking about sex between the guys.
Ross decided to talk to Chandler, a conversation that would be one of the most awkward in the history of the show. Ross spoke about his Princess Leia fantasy, something that Chandler immediately related to, but his own story was far more disturbing.
He told his friend that there have been times when he was in bed with a woman that he pictured the likes of Elle MacPherson, or the girl from the Xerox place. However, unintentionally, his mother would pop into his head, and though he couldn’t then think of anything else, and he couldn’t stop what he was doing… you can piece together the rest yourself.
Ross was disgusted, but as Chandler said, the thoughts were unbidden. When Rachel ultimately tried to fulfil Ross’ Princess Leia in the gold bikini fantasy, it was ruined for him when he couldn’t stop picturing his girlfriend as his own mother.
