Friends Or The Office US Quotes Quiz: Who Said It - Chandler Bing Or Michael Scott?

Which lovable goofball has the better punchlines?

Friends The Office Chandler Bing Michael Scott
NBC

Michael Scott draws all of the plaudits in the US re-invention of The Office with Steve Carrell portraying the train-wreck of a character perfectly. Swapping the Wernham Paper Co for Dunder-Mifflin, Carell has managed to imprint his own unique signature on the re-envisioned David Brent, and in turn has helped create a modern day classic.

Scott’s idiotic antics and desperate need to be liked are reminiscent of Chandler Bing – the original funny guy.

Chandler graced the screen in the late-nineties to the mid-noughties, and created an archetype for all sitcoms to follow. Every show needs a ‘Chandler’, but many shows have failed to replicate the success Matthew Perry had with Friends.

It’s refreshing to see a modern Chandler-esqe character in Michael Scott flourish in a more modern environment. But just how different are these two characters? Can you tell them apart from their quotes alone?

Let us know how you did in the comments thread below.
