Friends: Rachel's Boyfriends Ranked!
7. Mark Robinson
Mark is one of those characters that seems like a jerk on the surface but really isn't a bad guy. He can't get much higher than this position, as he only served as another stop sign in the highway ride romance of Ross/Rachel, but, unlike many of her other boyfriends, he at least treated her well.
The pair met at the Moondance Diner (where Monica worked), and he helped her get a job at Bloomingdale's. Their dynamic at first centred around Ross being jealous - to a toxic extent - about their friendship, and after the first Ross/Rachel split, she ended up going on a date with Mark.
However, this was simply a way to get back at Ross for sleeping with someone else, and Rachel realised this. Their relationship never went any further, and he even helped get her the job in Paris, which she abandoned in the final episode.
Mark never got far with Rachel, but he was at least respectful towards her. He didn't try to encroach on her relationship, and while he didn't wait long after it ended, he at least seemed to understand why things didn't work out.
He fits perfectly in this middling position.
