Futurama: 10 Best Zoidberg Moments

Zoidberg has never had a reputation for being cool. But in “The Silence of the Clamps”, he proved to everyone he could easily be the most awesome and badass out of all the delivery crew.

It all stemmed from Bender being targeted by the Robot Mafia, after having an affair with the Donbot’s daughter whilst witnessing an attack on Calculon. He is forced to go into hiding and in the meantime, robot mafia member Francis Clamps is hired as a replacement. He forms an instant rivalry with Zoidberg. Both of them have pincers as a use for the team, but it is the only use of Zoidberg.

During a delivery to the moon, the crew find Bender under the guise of a farmer robot named Billy West (named after the Fry voice actor of the same name), and his brain has been completely reprogrammed. This is the perfect opportunity for Francis to complete some unfinished business with Bender. The episode goes into full Spaghetti Western mode as Zoidberg halts him with the challenge of a showdown.

This is by far one of Zoidberg's greatest highs. With a little bit of added profanity for good measure, Zoidberg was the only one clever enough to figure out Francis was a murderer all along. He wins the battle against him, and the best part? He cuts off Francis' new clamps - the very thing which overthrew Zoidberg in the first place.

The lesson here: don’t ever mess with Doctor John Zoidberg.
