Futurama: 10 Most Underrated Episodes

8. Brannigan, Begin Again

Though Cubert may have rubbed audiences the wrong way, there have been many, many wonderful characters introduced in the world of Futurama. One of the most popular, and certainly the most popular outside of the main seven, is Zapp Brannigan.

He may not show up as often as the Planet Express crew, but when he does, the episode is automatically improved because of him. He's almost similar to Sideshow Bob in The Simpsons in that regards, and one of his best appearances, though it's rarely ever talked about, is in 'Brannigan, Begin Again'.

After blowing up the brand new DOOP headquarters while holding Fry, Bender, and Leela captive thanks to his ridiculous prejudice against the neutral people, the disgraced star captain joined Planet Express and, of course, hilarity ensued. From his failing girdle to the mutiny he organised, Zapp is wonderful in this episode.

When it comes to Brannigan, people often recall 'Love's Labours Lost In Space' or 'War is the H-Word' as his best, but some of the character's greatest one liners originate in this episode, and it simply never gets old.
