Futurama: 10 Worst Things The Planet Express Crew Ever Did

2. Fry Sent His Own Grandfather To His Death

In one of Futurama's most iconic stories, the Planet Express crew traveled back in time and became the spaceship that landed in Roswell in 1947. Bender lost his body, Zoidberg was captured by the US government, and Fry met his grandfather. His original grandfather, anyway.

As Fry and Bender's head went onto the army base to take back the robot's body, Professor Farnsworth warned them not to do anything that would alter history. If Fry were to kill his grandfather, Enos, he would stop existing altogether.

He became slightly paranoid, and felt as though he had to protect his grandfather from harm, despite the fact that he could have done absolutely nothing and everything would have been fine. In his blind panic, Fry pushed Enos onto a pile of rusty bayonets, onto a live bomb site, and almost neutered him with a sharp knife.

Eventually, Fry took his grandfather to a remote cabin in the middle of nowhere, as far from harm as possible. As it turned out however, the cabin was the subject of an atomic bomb test, which killed Enos mere seconds after Fry and Bender left him. Though he survived by becoming his own grandfather, his actual grandfather wasn't so lucky, suffering what would have been a horrible, fiery death thanks to his grandson.
