Futurama: Every Planet Express Crew Member Ranked

While Futurama has a massive cast, it’s always been a show about Fry, Leela and Bender. Fry is presented as the main character, but he meets the other two right after arriving in the future, and they’ve been by his side ever since.

Despite being one of the central three, Leela just falls short of the medal positions, though the show probably wouldn’t work with her any other way. She’s far more entertaining than Morgan or Hermes, but on a small scale has the same role as them; she’s the straight man while Fry and Bender run rampant.

She’s led too many episodes to count, but they tend to be much more grounded than Fry or Bender centric episodes. Notable exceptions could be when she becomes a steroid abusing butterfly fighter, when her mutation accelerates and she becomes a tentacle monster, or the fact she has a singing boil named Susan, but generally she’s very on the level.

She gives the show the firm footing it needs for a bit of stability, and still manages to be a wryly funny member of the crew, forging fantastic dynamics throughout.
