Zoidberg has perhaps the most iconic design of all the characters in the show, and manages to break into the top three despite only being a supporting character.

Storylines are thrown his way occasionally, but Zoidberg’s biggest strength is as a scene stealer. He might only be involved in a couple of exchanges per episode sometimes, but he’ll often be the funniest thing in them.

He’s a loveable loser, and even though he’s a outer-space lobster physician, is possibly the most relatable character in the show. Nothing ever really goes right for him, and even though it’s often all his fault, the audience is always on his side.

The best thing about Zoidberg is that he’s just unavoidably funny. While Scruffy brings laughs with simple lines, Zoidberg has that ability and gets some of the best lines in the show to boot.

He’s many fans’ absolute favourite character, and there’s definitely an argument to be made for having him at the pinnacle here. The fact he ended the series happily dating Emilia Clarke’s Marianne was a wonderful ending for him too, and one he thoroughly earned.
