Futurama: The Planet Express Crew Ranked From Worst To Best

A significant element of a show's success can strangely come down to how meme-able it is, and Futurama has undoubtedly seen some great outings into this internet trend. Classics such as the "shut up and take my money" meme, or "I don't want to live on this planet anymore" have certainly been trendy, but it seems that Zoidberg himself is a walking meme-machine.

There is a lot that goes into making Dr John A. Zoidberg funny as there are many aspects of his personality that catch buckets of laughs. He is gross, incompetent and regularly gets some of the best lines in the show. Additionally, his position as the weird alien within the crew has given plenty of avenues for generating outlandish comedy moments.

He has also seen some strong character growth, with his comedy career becoming more and more of a highlight throughout the series run. However, he ultimately feels like a fun side character brought in to allow for wacky antics, which is why his ranking is strong, but not quite in the top three.

Despite this, Zoidberg is a fan-favourite, and that is earned by fantastic character design, excellent writing and the voicework of Billy West.
