Game Of Thrones: 10 Best Characters Who Appeared After Season One

Game of Thrones might have seemed like a mindless fantasy action series on the surface, but there was something much deeper to it than that. The use of politics, espionage and general secrecy made it into a far more compelling show, as your brain served you just as well as your muscles in this dog eat dog world. Margaery Tyrell was one of the best showcases of this.

Margery jumped onto the scene in season two as the wife to Renly, but after his death, she made her advances towards the Lannister family. She was an absolute genius when it came to making her way up the ladder as her ability to manipulate was strong, and she could wrap anyone around her finger. Seeing someone make their mark without raising a single sword was exciting, and fans fell in love with her quickly.

Plenty of people were disappointed by her anticlimactic death, and it's easy to see why. The character truly felt like they were building to something greater than being collateral damage in Cersei's schemes. Still, it's better to go out with a bang than a whimper, so there's that at least.
