Game Of Thrones: 10 Best Episodes (According To IMDb)
4. The Rains Of Castamere - 9.9
The first of the four almost perfect scores on this list, 'The Rains of Castamere' is possibly the most infamous episode Game of Thrones has to offer, and is certainly one of the most shocking and brutal. The slaughter of Robb and Catelyn Stark, and the King in the North's entire army, is known even outside of Game of Thrones fans as the Red Wedding.
The tension in the build up kept viewers on the edge of their seats until the fighting began, which is made so much worse by the mutilation of Grey Wind, and the despicable murder of Robb's unborn child, a detail that was not in the books and added just for the show.
With all of this death, deceit, and decapitation, it is easy to forget that the Red Wedding was only a part of this incredible episode. Jon betrayed Ygritte and the wildlings outside Queenscrown, Bran warged into Hodor for the very first time, and Daenerys and her forces took the city of Yunkai.
After 'Bealor' and 'Blackwater' in seasons one and two, 'The Rains of Castamere' confirmed in season three the tradition of episode nine stealing the show.
