Game Of Thrones: 10 Characters The Show Wants You To Forget About

4. Salladhor Saan

Game Of Thrones Ghost
HBO

Though Salladhor Saan wasn't ever a main character in Game Of Thrones, he is the closest thing we're ever going to get to a real life (non-villainous) pirate on the show, and as a result it seems wrong that we've been denied more of Salladhor over the years. Originally a good friend of Davos, Salladhor is an infamous pirate and sellsail that actually owns a fleet of around thirty ships. Some of those ships were used during the Battle of the Blackwater, but like any good pirate, Salladhor fled the bay when he saw that he was on the losing side.

The last time we saw Salladhor was in a short scene that seemingly closed the book on the character. It was back in Season 4 that Davos and Salladhor Saan went to the Iron Bank to finally close their deal, and it seems that the show wants that to be the end of Saan's story. But what if they're just trying to get us to forget a character who could play a big part in the war to come?

For those paying attention, the Queen of the Dragons had a huge fleet of ships at one point, but Season 7 has seen those ships quite literally go up in flames at an alarming rate. Now, we know that Dany isn't one to simply buy her army, but given the bond between Davos and Saan, it wouldn't be out of the question to see Saan appear once more with his ships in tow in order to come to Dany's aid. This would thus give the fans the pirate action they deserve, while also giving a very deserving Queen another shot at controling the narrow sea.
