Game Of Thrones: 10 Darkest Moments The Show Left Out

7. Bran Eats Members Of The Night's Watch

The whole warg thing was dreadfully under utilised in the show. What started off as a cool way to introduce the Starks' inhuman powers ultimately fizzled out into nothing.

In the books it's likely we'll see the warg ability used to a much larger degree. After Jon is murdered by his brothers, everything indicates he'll warg into his direwolf. Why else would Martin call the wolf Ghost? But Jon will likely be changed by the event. Martin is the king of foreshadowing, and often uses the actions of one character to indicate what will happen to another.

While Bran travels north he is constantly warned by Jojen not to spend too much time embodying Summer. He indicates that a man can become lost in his warg, and forget his humanity - this idea is also repeated by wildings at other points during the books.

Bran ignores the advice, relishing in the freedom he has while warging into Summer, and taking pleasure in hunting and eating animals. But at one point Summer (Bran) comes across a pack of wolves attacking and eating members of the Night's Watch. Summer fights the head of the wolf pack, becoming the new leader, and then devours the dead Night's Watchmen.

Not only was it disturbing to see Bran indulge in eating human flesh, but it also indicates that Jon might loose his own sense of right and wrong if he remains in Ghost for too long.
