Game Of Thrones: 12 Greatest Anti-Heroes In Westeros

11. Olenna Tyrell

Tywin Lannister Game of Thrones
HBO

Olenna Tyrell was severely underestimated when she first came onto the scene. She came across as a prickly, boisterous, lover of gossip, and to an extent those attributes still ring true, though beneath the surface she's immeasurably cunning with evidence to back it up.

She was the one who poisoned and killed the young King Joffrey with the plotting of Baelish behind her. Everything she is doing, including trying to free Margaery and Loras is for the good of House Tyrell and the entire realm itself, as without Margaery, the capital is a Lannister dominated zone. Her latest conflict came in a brilliant scene with the High Sparrow. She threatened to cut off food supplies to the capital if her grandchildren were not released, but again, she's doing what she feels is right for the capital in freeing her politically important Margaery, even though the famine prospect is a grim one.
