Game Of Thrones: 10 Huge Questions To Consider Before Season 7
6. Where Does That Leave Cersei And Jaime?
Towards the end of the season six finale, we see Cersei crowned and sitting on the Iron Throne. Her brother Jaime sees this too, and he looks completely disgusted. Up until now, the relationship between Cersei and Jaime has always remained a constant. Despite its ups and downs (and the downs have truly been low) the two remain loyal to each other. Yet it's likely that the dynamic of this relationship has now permanently altered.
After all, Jaime risked everything to save King's Landing: he literally killed a king. Yet Cersei appears to be following in the Mad King's footsteps, going so far as to basically enact his crazed Wildfire plot. Who says he wouldn't murder a queen if he had to?
There's also the fact that in her youth, Cersei received a prophecy from an elderly fortune teller named Maggy that claimed she would die at the hands of "Valonqar", which means "little brother" in High Valyrian. Despite the fact Jaime and Cersei are twins, Jaime was born second, technically making him her younger brother.
