Game Of Thrones: 10 Lesser Known Fan Theories That Might Actually Be True

2. Quaithe Is Really A Time Travelling Daenerys

Quaithe was a mysterious being that Daenerys met when she reached Quarth back in Season 2. A mysterious woman with her face covered, she has raised a lot of speculation about her real identity - and the most interesting (albeit weird, I'll admit) one that fans have come up with is that she might be Dany herself...from the future.

Now, Qarth was a pretty strange place with pretty strange magic, so keep that in mind before you completely shoot this theory down. Quaithe immediately seemed to warn Daenerys of the danger that awaits her and bestowed some guidance to the Mother of Dragons for no apparent reason that fans could really see.

"To go north, you must go south," she told her. "To reach the west, you must go east. To go forward you must go back, and to touch the light you must pass beneath the shadow." Could she very well be Dany "going back" (in time) to "go forward"?

Others speculate that Quaithe could be Shiera Seastar, one of Aegon The Unworthy's "Great Bastards" or Ashara Dayne, sister of the famous knight Ser Arthur Dayne. We doubt Quaithe was just being a good samaritan, as nobody in Game Of Thrones ever does anything without a hidden agenda.

So what could really be her story, or are we lingering on a character that won't even return?
