Game Of Thrones: 10 Most Head-Scratching Plot Holes
2. Will's Escape
Let's travel all the way back to a virtual impossibility from the very first episode where a bunch of Night's Watchmen are assaulted by the white walkers. Will, one of the men, manages to escape. For starters, why would the walkers spare him, but secondly the show expects us to believe that he managed to go from Beyond the Wall to Winterfell completely undetected. Sometimes the scale of the country isn't clear, but the journey undertaken by Will would've taken a month from the Wall to Winterfell. He'd have also had to get back from Beyond the Wall to the Wall itself (no easy feat) and then over/around the towering ice. It is a minuscule possibility, but factor in that Will would need regular food, water, and supplies along the journey, all while being unmounted and wearing the black robes, but not being detected by patrols on the Wall or anybody below it. There's no credible way he could've survived that trip.
