Game Of Thrones: 10 Most Overrated Episodes

6. Beyond The Wall (Season 7, Episode 6)

Book Of The Stranger Game of Thrones Danaerys

What a shame this episode was. We had waited six and half seasons to get all our heroes together, and this was what we got?

In a plan that seemed as logically sound as trying to eat hot soup with a paper fork, our heroes ventured north of the Wall to capture a White Walker and bring it back to Cersei.

This episode did have some good moments, the Hound and Tormund discussing their d*cks was amusing, and there was a touching interaction between Jon and Jorah, but apart from that this episode made no sense.

In a show that made its name making sure you knew characters were actually in peril when placed in dangerous situation, the writers conveniently forget this convention. Adding a group of nondescript bots into the party just so they had a few people to kill off made all the action disengaging and hollow.

There was that one moment when Tormund actually looked like he might succumb to the overwhelming hordes of undead, but of course he survived. We lost Thoros, but the writers failed to capitalise on his ending by killing him off screen.

Benjen turned up to do absolutely nothing and, oh yeah, Gendry found a TARDIS...

This was when Thrones turned into a Marvel movie. Cause and effect had no bearing here and our main characters became super heroes.
