Game Of Thrones: 10 Most Powerful Characters Going Into Season 7

2. Daenerys Targaryen

Game Of Thrones Night King Daenerys
HBO

After six seasons of waiting and wondering, Daenerys Targaryen has finally set sail for Westeros, to claim what is hers with fire and blood. Accompanying her on this mission is the combined might of two great houses - Martell and Tyrell - the latter of which in particular has a huge army and great wealth, plus a few thousand Unsullied (originally 8000, but with some losses since), and Dothraki taken from various khalasars that could number upwards 100,000 fighting men.

That's frankly ridiculous, giving her an army no one in Westeros can match in size, plus a combination of different fighting styles. Making them all work as a cohesive unit might prove a sticking point, and she could probably do with more ships too, but it's still a massive advantage.

Then there's her key allies, which include Tyrion, Varys, and Olenna, three characters who know Westeros and how the game is played as well as anyone in the world. The latter two in particular are capable of great influence and getting things done, which will aid her arrival in Westeros.

Daenerys is the long-missing, presumed-dead Targaryen with a strong claim to the Iron Throne (though it's unclear how Westeros will respond to her), and close ties (even if she doesn't know it) to the King in the North. A key figure in the saga and, right now, the most powerful amongst its humans.

Oh, and if all that wasn't enough: THREE. HUGE. DRAGONS.
