Game Of Thrones: 10 Most Underrated Heroes
7. Meera Reed
A mysterious character from the start, we know very little about Meera when she arrives on our screen in season three. Fast forward to season seven and we still know very little. Despite this, she is involved in some great storylines and is one hell of a shot with a bow.
In season three she appears with her brother and immediately becomes embroiled in a story involving Bran. Her back and forth with Osha is entertaining and even makes scenes with boring Bran bearable.
They venture north of the Wall and it is from this point that you see the excellence of Meera. She is essentially the protector of the useless Jojen and Bran. She takes care of her brother during his seizures and is remarkably fast at putting a knife to someone's throat. To cross the Wall is scary enough, to do it with Tweedledum and Tweedledee is quite remarkable.
Whilst in the abyss, Meera fought off an onslaught of white walkers, tackled a few tricky wights and even had time to kill her own brother. A series of events that would shatter the best of people, but Meera rose to the task.
She leaves the show in season seven to a pitiful farewell from Bran. The heroine deserved a much better send off.
