Game Of Thrones: 10 Most Underrated Heroes

4. Tywin Lannister

Game of Thrones Yoren Arya
HBO

To some, he is the vile leader of an incestuous, evil family. To others, he is a god amongst men. For the sake of this article, we will be agreeing with the latter.

Saviour of the city, Hand of the King and Protector of the Realm are just a few of the honorary titles bestowed upon Lord Tywin. He rebuilt the honour of the Lannister name, after the disastrous lordship of his father. It's just a shame that his children had to go and ruin it all over again.

Mistakenly portrayed as ruthless and cruel, Tywin's only real interest was his legacy. Upon further study of his children, it becomes easy to sympathise with poor Tywin. Throw in Joffrey and the man deserves all the compassion in the world.

He orchestrated the Red Wedding, which was the most iconic moment in the entire series. A true masterstroke, that showed Tywin's cunning in all its glory. He saved Kings Landing during the battle of Blackwater and even had the audacity to send Joffrey to bed at one point.

A man feared throughout the Seven Kingdoms did not deserve such a dishonourable death. It was an outrage, but at the same time, hilariously funny.
