Game Of Thrones: 10 Most Underrated Heroes

2. Olenna Tyrell

Game of Thrones Yoren Arya
HBO

It would be wrong to not include the 'Queen of Thorns' on this list. Her sharp tongue was notorious throughout the Seven Kingdoms and earnt her legendary status.

As head of House Tyrell, she arrived on our screens in season three, following her granddaughter’s engagement to King Joffrey. She immediately ruffled feathers during her bid to establish the Tyrell name in the capital. A fierce woman, she even held her own in debates with the might Tywin Lannister.

Her nickname comes from her uncanny ability to verbally annihilate anyone. This is only seen briefly in the show, during a few altercations. She called the High Sparrow a shoeless zealot and hilariously called Cersei a tart. For that alone, she is well worthy of a place on this prestigious list.

Her most heroic act was bringing the tyrannical reign of Joffrey to an end. A moment that brought satisfaction to all viewers of the Purple Wedding. Never in the history of television had someone deserved such an ill fate.

This was revealed to Jaime during her death scene at Highgarden. The slayer of Joffrey went out with a glass of wine in her hand. Bravo!
