Game Of Thrones: 10 Possible Plots For A Movie

3. Dunk & Egg

Alongside A Song Of Ice And Fire, George R.R. Martin wrote a trilogy of short novellas named the Tales of Dunk and Egg. They tell the stories of a squire named Dunk who replaces the dead knight he'd previously served, and his new squire Egg. The books look at their adventures in tourneys and provide another look at Westeros of old. The stories themselves would be interesting alone, though Dunk's knighted name became Duncan the Tall and is mentioned by Jaime Lannister as being a fine man and knight as well as featured in one of Old Nan's tales to Bran. However, the real intrigue comes with Egg's identity. He is the brother of Maester Aemon... Aegon Targaryen. Not the Conqueror, but still a Targaryen King. Martin plans on writing more novellas, so they could certainly be a realistic idea for a film or even a mini-series.
