Game Of Thrones: 10 Questions We're Asking After 'The Lion And The Rose'

6. Will The North Rebel Again?

Non-deadly developments in this episode included a reunion between the menacing Roose Bolton and his psychopathic illegitimate son Ramsay Snow, whose torture of a young woman made for an unsettling opening scene. Ramsay forces Theon to reveal that Bran and Rickon are alive, and although Bolton seems sceptical, if the mere suggestion of Bran€™s survival reaches the general populace, it could ignite another rebellion in the North. Perhaps that€™s too much to expect after the Red Wedding, but the North is definitely not chained to the Crown, especially as the Boltons hardly have Lannister interests at heart. The death of the King could be the trigger for the dissolution of the uneasy alliance between Tywin and Roose, in which case the North could be left in tatters for Balon Greyjoy to seize its strongholds. As Jaime pointed out last episode, the War of the Five Kings isn€™t quite over yet.
