Game Of Thrones: 10 Questions We're Asking After 'The Lion And The Rose'

5. Will Dorne Get Involved?

We€™ve heard little of Dorne until this season. It was chosen as a safe haven for Myrcella, much to Cersei€™s disgust, but it was relatively underdeveloped in comparison to the lands beyond the Narrow Sea or even the wilderness beyond the Wall. Then last episode featured the arrival of the smouldering and incredibly dangerous Oberyn Martell, and suddenly Dorne seems a lot closer to King€™s Landing. Oberyn has already stated to Tyrion that he seeks to avenge the Mountain€™s brutal murder of his sister and her children, but is that his only motive? Cersei will probably demand that Myrcella is returned to her now that she€™s lost a child, and especially since Oberyn taunts her about her daughter's absence in this episode, but Dorne may then be in a position to issue demands of some sort. We know so little about the kingdom and its people, and even about Oberyn, that we can€™t discount Dorne as a political force in future episodes.
