Game Of Thrones: 10 Questions We're Asking After 'The Lion And The Rose'
4. Will Cersei Lose Her Mind?
Cersei has a place of honour at her sons wedding and spends most of it demonstrating once again that she wields power with all the grace of a small child and a toy sword. She insults and then humiliates Brienne, barely contains herself in conversation with Oberyn Martell and his paramour, and then grows so frustrated with Margaery that she shrieks at a servant. The episode closes with her hysterical demand for Tyrions arrest. It is strangely reminiscent of the wail which escaped Catelyn Stark when Robb was killed at the Red Wedding, after which she seemed eerily numb, as if her mind had deserted her. Cersei has already grown more unhinged in recent episodes, which suggests that shes close to losing her sanity. Margaery, with her sugary smiles and decrees for the poorest in the city, is primed to take her place.
