Game Of Thrones: 10 Reasons The Movie Should Be A Prequel

4. The Good Guys Actually Win

A rule you quickly learn watching the show or reading the books is that you shouldn't get too attached to any of the characters, particularly not the good, noble ones, because sooner or later they're going to die a pretty horrific death.

It is the bad guys who have the power in Westeros - houses such as the Lannisters and the Boltons - while the likes of Ned Stark, Robb Stark, Catelyn Stark, and Jon Snow (who's basically a Stark) end up paying the ultimate price. Basically, if you want to survive in the Seven Kingdoms, don't be a good guy, and certainly don't be a Stark.

In a prequel, however, it could all be different. Robert and Ned are the victors against the Targaryens; the Starks and the Children of the Forest succeed in defeating the White Walkers. The series may end in a huge battle that leads to total chaos and destruction, but the movie could, just for a change, let us see the good guys win (and we'd still get some awesome battles as well).
