Game Of Thrones: 10 Reasons Why A Prequel Series Would Be Awesome

3. Show What Has Been Told

Of the many factors that have played into the success of Game of Thrones, one without which viewers may not have stuck with the program was the superb casting. From the big name stars like Sean Bean to now-famous newcomers like Emilia Clarke to irreplaceable child performers like Maisie Williams, the cast has had the skills to imbue even the most long-winded (and fully-clothed) exposition dumps with such gravitas as to become unforgettable. A factor that would be a massive draw to a prequel series would be the opportunity to see some of those unforgettable events on screen. Ned's recounting of riding into the Red Keep to find Aerys dead, Jaime's recollection of the deaths of Brandon and Rickard Stark, Stannis' monologue about the circumstances of the siege of Storm's End, Jaime's embittered tale about the truth of what drove him to earn the name Kingslayer: all were stories riveting to hear about. Judging by the production values of Game of Thrones, to see them on screen in a prequel series would be absolutely amazing.
