Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'Blood Of My Blood'

9. Jaime And Cersei Say Goodbye (Plus Promise Of Bronn!)

Game of Thrones Cersei Jaime
HBO

Having been completely played by the High Sparrow, Jaime is fired from his position as Lord Commander of the Kingsguard by his own nephew/son, and sent to deal with the Blackfish/Frey mess at Riverrun.

That means that he has to say goodbye to Cersei, and it leads to a great moment between the two (I'd say weird, but by now their twincest has become normalised, so thanks for that Game of Thrones).

Jaime is the one angry and ready to do something rash here, and it's up to Cersei to give a stirring speech that convinces him to leave (including another mention of that pending trial by combat - get hype!), while also showing the depth of affection these two have for each other. Sure, they're twins, but at least it's genuine, which is more than you can say for most couples in Westeros.

Also of note here is the name-dropping of Bronn, setting things up for his return next week. I. CANNOT. WAIT!
