Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups and 2 Downs From 'The Door'

1. Summer And Hodor Are Dead

As previously mentioned, the Hodor death scene was brilliantly executed, as was the reveal of his origins that came with it. On the flip side of that, though, and why it's also a down, is the fact that it means we're losing Hodor from the show.

Admittedly the fact that he couldn't say anything other than Hodor meant he couldn't be a central character narrative-wise, he was nonetheless a fan-favourite, both because of his repetition of the word and also his sweet nature, loyalty, and innocence. Given he missed all of Season 5, it's a big shame to be bidding farewell to him so soon after his return.

Although a few other characters were killed here, including apparently all the Children of the Forest, and Max von Sydow's Three-Eyed Raven (another shame, but a necessary one for Bran to truly move forwards), the other death that was really hard to take was Summer. How many direwolves is this show going to kill off? That's two dead this season alone, and means we're left with just Ghost and Nymeria. Stop killing the wolves, dammit.
