The third episode on this list is also the third from season six, making it the only season to feature three of the worst ever episodes, and three of the best. For every 'Winds of Winter' or 'Battle of the Bastards' there is a 'No One' or 'The Red Woman.'

'Blood of my Blood' is similar to the latter two episodes in that it served to set up the bigger episodes, without being stealing the show itself. While these slower episodes are needed to tell the story and set the scene properly, in a vacuum they can also be seen as quite boring.

Sam and Gilly left the pleasures of Horn Hill, Arya was admitted into the tutelage of the Waif in the House of Black and White, and Jaime departed King's Landing to siege Brynden Tully in Riverrun.

The only really memorable moment from the episode was seeing the long speculated return of Benjen Stark. The man known in the books only as Coldhands saved Bran and Meera from the white walkers, saving the life of the future king of Westeros beyond the Wall.
