Game Of Thrones: 10 Worst Episodes (According To IMDb)
4. The Long Night - 7.5
After being built up from the very first scene of Game of Thrones, the battle between the living and the dead came to Winterfell in the third episode of season eight. By all logic, this should have been up there with the Battle of the Bastards or Hardhome in terms of the best the show had to offer.
Instead, however, fans were left bitterly disappointed as the battle fell far short of every expectation. After such a long build up, and such a big deal made of the white walkers over the past seven seasons, was that it? The Night King and his army defeated so easily? And while Jon, the one man who told the world of the importance of the battle spent the majority of the fight hiding from Viserion?
With 'The Long Night', Game of Thrones relegated the white walkers to the longest sub-plot in history, losing only two main characters in the process in Jorah Mormont and Theon Greyjoy.
When Tyrion told the group around the fire in 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' that he thought they might survive the night, everyone laughed at such a ridiculous notion. Yet in the very next episode, that is exactly what happened. It is amazing that this episode didn't come rock bottom of this list, but somehow season eight went even further down hill from here.
