Game Of Thrones: 10 Worst Episodes (According To IMDb)

3. The Bells - 6.0

Game Of Thrones Dragon Dragon Daenerys Death
HBO

There could be a list in itself solely compromised of the aspects of 'The Bells' that disappointed fans. The penultimate ever episode of the show saw the highly anticipated coming together of the Northern forces and Cersei's army, including the laughably pointless Golden Company.

After Rhaegal was taken down in the previous episode with a single shot from the Greyjoy armada, that Daenerys apparently just didn't notice, King's Landing was surrounded by scorpions to defend against Drogon's aerial attack. Only when the dragon came upon King's Landing, every single Lannister suddenly seemed to forget how to aim.

'The Bells' gave Cersei the most disappointing possible death, paired with the complete undoing of Jaime's entire redemption arc since season three, Arya suddenly decided that she didn't want to kill Cersei after chanting her name on her list for years, and Euron died shortly after uttering one of the worst lines of dialogue in the entire series.

The list of faults simply goes on and on, but the worst thing is just how rushed it felt. If the show had maintained the pace it established in the first five or six seasons, there could have been at least a handful of episodes between 'The Long Night' and 'The Bells', to properly set the scene, do the story and its characters justice, and depict Daenerys' descent into madness as more than just a flash of rage.
