2. Tywin Made Tyrion's Wife A Whore
While this is one detail that did not make the transition from the books to the show, it is one of the worst things anyone in the entire story has done, particularly when you consider that Tywin is doing this to punish Tyrion, his own son.
When the Imp was just a young man, against the traditions and wishes of the great House of Lannister, he fell in love with, and married a peasant girl, so low in birth that the only witnesses to the wedding were pigs. Tysha was a disgrace to Tywin, his reputation, and the Lannister legacy.
When the Lord of Casterly Rock found out, he demanded Jaime tell his younger brother Tysha was a whore he paid to make a man out of Tyrion. The Imp's new wife was then raped by each of Tywin's guards, and for each man she received a silver coin. When they were done, Tywin forced his son to be the last man to rape her, for which she received a gold coin. Lannisters are worth more than normal men, and Tywin felt Tyrion needed a reminder.
What kind of man does this to anyone, let alone his own son?
