6. Viserys Targaryen
Way back in Season 1, Viserys Targaryen stood out as one of the first truly detestable characters on the show. He harassed his sister Daenerys, whined about not being King, and acted like he was better than everyone around him, especially the Dothraki. This racist, incestuous, entitled prince thought he deserved a golden crown, and he was right.
After a night of hard drinking, Viserys barges into a Dothraki ceremony and wields a sword, threatening the life of Daenerys's unborn child. Khal Drogo knows Viserys has to go, but it's forbidden to shed a drop of blood in the sacred city of Vaes Dothrak. So, Drogo gets creative, and melts down some gold before pouring it over Viserys's head, killing him while giving him the "golden crown" he wanted so badly. Be careful what you wish for, Viserys.
