12. The Purple Wedding's Focus On Olenna

Just a few episodes after the Red Wedding, we get the Purple Wedding, which is a far more satisfying occasion. The nuptials of Joffrey and Margaery end with the King choking to death, with Tyrion getting the blame and Sansa being smuggled out of King's Landing.

It'd take a few episodes for the true killer to be revealed, with Olenna revealing to Margaery that she had no intention of making her suffer the torment Joffrey would cause, but rewatching the episode back you can see just how clear it is that Olenna's the one who did it.

She's present at the top table, interacts with a number of key players - including a crucial moment with Sansa - and above all else, the camera is constantly lingering on her face, even just in the background. It cuts to her looking on at pivotal moments, and while her expression doesn't betray her, the fact it keeps showing her at all is a canny visual clue as to who is really responsible. And if that's not enough of a clue, there's the fact she says to Sansa: "Killing a man at a wedding… horrid. What sort of monster would do such a thing?"
